Infant Baptisms (newborn-6 years old)

Thank you for your interest in celebrating your child's Baptism at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church!

Except for major holidays, Baptisms are celebrated on the first and second Saturdays of each month.

First Saturday of each month at 9:30 am
Second Saturday of each month at 9:30am

If your child is over 6 years old, please contact the parish office for information on registering your child for Sacrament preparation classes.

The Baptism stipend per child is $50. A gift/donation for the priest is always appreciated.

A Baptism preparation class is recommended for parents and godparents.

An online class is available at Ascension Press. All classes are equally recommended.  After completion of the class, submit the certificate of completion to the OLPH parish office .

You may choose one or two godparents. If two: one male and one female.

Godparents must be at least 16 years of age.

Eligible godparents are required to have received all three Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation).

Godparents must also be good models of living a Catholic sacramental life. If they are married, the godparents need to be married in the Catholic Church. Individuals who are cohabiting (living together) are not eligible to serve as godparents.

If you know someone who would like to be a godparent but does not meet the requirements, please encourage them to contact the parish office so we may assist them in the process.
