What is a current Baptism certificate?
“Current” means it is signed by a priest within the last 6 months. Your church of Baptism is notified anytime you receive a Sacrament, no matter where it is celebrated; a current certificate will notate which Sacraments you’ve received including whether you’ve been married before, been ordained a deacon or priest, or professed religious vows. To obtain a current copy, simply call the church where you were baptized and ask for a "current copy with notations" to be prepared and sent to you.
